Rebuild it.

Coco’s mother, Alisa Lippmann, created fantastical artworks from styrofoam. In 2021, Coco decided to refurbish some of her mother’s pieces. This artwork was so thin that it broke. Once separated, Coco repainted the piece and renamed it. Coco remarked, “I love it !”

Reimagine it.

Redux of Coco’s 1961 drawing, “Hair Holds Up My Town,” she banged chains into the big orange styrofoam block that her mother, Alisa Lippmann left behind when she passed away a decade ago.

Grow it.

Coco’s grandmother, Nonna Emma Moscato, loved to crochet. In addition to wearing her creations, Coco is now turning her 50-year old pieced into artworks. She found old paper in her studio that was so yellow stained, she almost threw it out. Instead, she took the huge mess of ripped, small pieces and pulled off four patches, watered them with down primary and secondary colors where the stains were, and created this artwork. Coco says, “I love this piece made of three different size pieces.” One is 26” x 13” and the other two together are 6’10” X 6’4” .
